Recently, two online diploma businesses operating in the state of Indiana shut down. Although, the mill which shut down in Indiana, provided online diploma degrees under the name of a major U.S. University, the majority of online degree programs are nothing more than a mailing address. These companies sadly sucker customers into providing them with a worthless diploma that is never backed by the United States Council on Education.

Research diplomas mills may be the first step in better understanding how the entire online diploma mill process. The majority of customers are confused about the large amount of college degree programs that they find alone and are skeptical about the entire buying process and rightfully so! Every month new sites pop up claiming to offer a distance educational learning program but on closer examination, online diploma degrees offer little to no work and absolutely no meaning.

The majority of online degree mill programs are developed after made up Universities. They advertise their services online and in select magazines. Online diploma mill operations defend themselves by arguing that they are providing a service for people who want a degree to match the work experience they have acquired over the years.

Others argue that diplomas mill hand out degrees to people who honestly aren’t equipped to handle the tasks of the job at hand. BUT the world is filled with college programs that require little to no standards such as technical schools, business colleges, and teacher schools. The standards are not that of a major University, but the rewards are likewise.

Diplomas from a diploma mill are not the same as some fake diploma stores!

Fact is, a diploma mill is a FAKE school awarding degrees to people and claiming they are accredited and will be honored by the school. This is not the same thing as a fake diploma, purchased for novelty or entertainment purposes.

Degree mills on the other hand are shut down very often because of false promises made to desperate students who expect a quick but non-realistic education.
