In most cases no — our template library covers thousands of institutions and we can work from our reference files alone. However if you have a scan or photocopy it is always helpful, especially for unusual layouts, older documents, or institutions outside our most common markets.

What is a raised embossed seal — and how is it different from a printed seal?

A raised seal is a three-dimensional embossed impression pressed directly into the paper using industrial equipment — not a sticker, foil label, or printed image. The impression creates genuine raised and recessed areas in the paper surface that you can feel with your fingertips, exactly as on an original document.

Do you use real industrial printing equipment — or desktop printers?

We operate a professional print facility with multiple machines suited to different document types. Depending on the document, we use electrostatic digital printing, offset printing, or thermal DOD techniques — the same categories of equipment used to produce original institutional documents. We do not use consumer desktop printers.

Our embossing equipment is industrial-grade, purpose-built for creating raised seals and raised text — a significant capital investment that separates us from the vast majority of providers in this space.

How do you match the paper stock of the original document?

Paper selection is part of our process for every order. We stock a range of paper weights, textures, and colors to match the original document as closely as possible — including parchment-style, linen-finish, and smooth bond stocks in various weights.

For common document types we already know the correct paper from our reference library. For unusual documents we use any scan or reference you provide to select the closest match. See our paper and materials page for more detail.

Can I order raised embossed text as well as a raised seal?

Yes. Many original documents feature not just an embossed seal but also raised or recessed text elements — a recipient's name, a date, or a degree title pressed into the paper. We can reproduce raised text elements on applicable documents using the same industrial embossing equipment used for seals.

Do you ship internationally — and which countries do you deliver to?

How are international packages packaged — will customs be a problem?
